Joseph Lee earned a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science with a Minor in Data Science from the University of Virginia in May 2026. He is a full-stack software engineer who has built secure web applications and backend data pipelines using Python, Django, React, and TypeScript, with a particular focus on access control and data integrity. He has applied these skills professionally through a software engineering internship at a private capital markets firm and a client-facing consulting engagement through a UVA consulting club, where he learned to bridge the gap between technical work and non-technical stakeholders. Joseph is drawn to the Computing & Cybersecurity domain because he wants to take what he’s built in the private sector and apply it toward securing the systems and infrastructure that the public depends on.

He is a member of the NobleReach Scholars 2026 Cohort and serves as an IT Specialist with the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Tech Force.
