Arpitha Peteru is a Public Service Scholar at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), where she focuses on emerging technologies, security, and governance. She has worked across the legislative (Capitol Hill), executive (White House Office of Science and Technology Policy), nonprofit, and private sectors, shaping policy and building cross-sector partnerships on AI governance, cybersecurity, broadband access, spectrum policy, election integrity, and critical infrastructure. She was an AI Governance Fellow at SAIS and now serves as Vice President of the Johns Hopkins Science Policy & Diplomacy Group, where she engages policymakers, scientists, and diplomats on responsible AI and emerging technology governance. Drawing from her cross-sector experience, she is committed to advancing innovation, strengthening security, and fostering resilience at the intersection of policy, security, and technology.

She is a member of the NobleReach Scholars 2025 Cohort in the Artificial Intelligence domain.
