Anna Li holds a Master’s degree in Data Science from the University of Virginia, where she applies leadership skills on the Graduate Data Science Council and as a Residential Program Ambassador, and a B.S. in Mathematical Sciences with a concentration in Statistics from Virginia Commonwealth University. She is a data scientist with expertise in machine learning, statistical modeling, and building data systems that drive decision-making in public service, applying these skills across both professional and academic settings — from leading data infrastructure transformations at Chesterfield Public Library to developing ML pipelines for environmental impact modeling and building AI-integrated tools for responsible use in education. Committed to ethical and human-centered AI, she aspires to help government agencies develop and deploy AI systems that are trustworthy, equitable, and genuinely useful to the communities they serve.

She is a member of the NobleReach Scholars 2026 Cohort and serves as an Applied AI Innovation Scholar in Maryland’s Executive Office of the Governor.
