Andrew Morrissey

PPL Electric Utilities, Purdue University Alum

Andrew Morrissey holds a B.S. and earned an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University, where his thesis developed carbon-aware scheduling frameworks using real-time grid emissions data to reduce the carbon footprint of advanced manufacturing. He is a mechanical engineer and sustainability researcher with experience building data systems that connect manufacturing operations to real-time grid emissions data, enabling carbon-aware production decisions. Through internships at Air Products and AFB International, he applied engineering fundamentals to mechanical integrity and lean manufacturing challenges across the industrial gas and food sectors. Passionate about U.S. manufacturing competitiveness, he aspires to work at the intersection of government R&D and manufacturing policy, helping translate engineering innovation into the frameworks needed to deploy solutions at scale.

He is a member of the NobleReach Scholars 2026 Cohort and serves as an Interconnections & Tariff Engineer at PPL Electric Utilities.
