Ana-Maria has over 8 years of experience in the federal government where she supported public diplomacy and national security priorities by working across a range of roles at the State Department. From managing exchange programs like Fulbright, to leading innovation initiatives, and building networks of experts for U.S. embassies, she is passionate about connecting people and institutions to advance mission goals.
Prior to joining the State Department, she worked at IREX, supporting international education and development programs focused on leadership exchanges. Ana-Maria holds a B.A. in International Studies from the University of Chicago and an M.A. in International Development from George Washington University.
