Sreenivas (Sree) Ramaswamy

Sree Ramaswamy is an executive leader at the intersection of emerging technologies, national security, and industrial strategy, with over 25 years of experience spanning industry, consulting, government, and the nonprofit sector.

He currently serves as Chief Innovation Officer at NobleReach Foundation, where he leads strategy to accelerate innovation for national security. He leads a team with experience at In-Q-Tel, DARPA, and NSF, leveraging national talent, expertise, and capital to build ecosystems that connect entrepreneurs, researchers, investors, and government, and scale dual-use technologies.

From 2021–2024, Sree served as Senior Advisor to U.S. Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo, where he led strategy and served as a chief architect of the CHIPS and Science Act, shaping investment strategy for semiconductors and technology clusters in partnership with industry and allied governments.

Previously, he spent over a decade as a Partner at McKinsey & Company and the McKinsey Global Institute, advising aerospace, high-tech, industrial, and private equity clients, and leading research on competitiveness, manufacturing, and emerging technologies. His work shaped corporate and government decisions and provided the intellectual foundation for U.S. industrial strategy.

Sree spent over a decade as a systems engineer in aerospace and wireless telecom, earning three U.S. patents while developing space-based networks. He is a Nonresident Senior Fellow at CSIS and widely published in Harvard Business Review, The Economist, Financial Times, Wall Street Journal, and other outlets.
