Micaela Simeone

Micaela Simeone holds a Master’s degree in Tech Ethics & Policy from Duke University and a Bachelor’s degree in English and Digital & Computational Studies from Bowdoin College. She gained hands-on experience through various research and leadership roles, including as an AI Governance Graduate RA and as a Graduate Student Think Tank Consultant for a data policy-focused think tank. As a scholar, her research has focused primarily on two areas: AI governance and broadband policy, and she has published original research in both fields. Passionate about responsible AI, she aspires to support the development of policies that successfully balance the goals of technological innovation with the public interest.

She is a member of the NobleReach Scholars 2025 Cohort in the Artificial Intelligence domain and serves as a Permitting Acceleration Strategy and Technology Fellow for the City of Seattle.
