Matthew Birnhak

Matthew Birnhak completed a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Trinity College, with a strong foundation in software development and cybersecurity. He has gained hands-on experience through NSF-funded cybersecurity research, capture the flag challenges, and leading the development of a digital identity wallet for Trinity College as the principal developer, mentoring a younger student. He has also gained government work experience from internships with the United States Marshal Service and Homeland Security Investigations, which have prepared him to navigate high-pressure environments and complex organizational procedures. Matthew is passionate about national security and aspires to build a career in federal law enforcement focused on cybersecurity and intelligence to address high-priority threats such as terrorism.
He is a member of the NobleReach Scholars 2025 Cohort in the Computing & Cybersecurity Domain.
