Virginia Partridge

Virginia Partridge holds a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Linguistics and Mathematics from Brandeis University. She has a strong background in Natural Language Processing and Machine Learning Engineering gained through 7 years of industry experience working on dialog and speech recognition systems and medical record processing applications. During her graduate program and her current role as a Research Fellow at the UMass Amherst Center for Data Science, Virginia has contributed to several interdisciplinary research projects with collaborators from Computer Science, Public Policy, Ecology, and Linguistics. Virginia also runs the Data Science for the Common Good summer program, where she mentors students as they apply data science and machine learning to build creative solutions for non-profit and civic partner organizations.
She is a member of the NobleReach Scholars 2025 Cohort in the Artificial Intelligence domain and serves as a Fellow at the University of Massachusetts Amherst Center for Data Science and Artificial Intelligence.
