Marcus Brumfield

Marcus I. Brumfield holds a Ph.D. in Engineering Education and has a strong computer science and cybersecurity background, with a Master’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. He served as an Assistant Professor of Computer Science, where he led cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and machine learning research, secured grant funding, and mentored students through initiatives, including the Tougaloo College Cybersecurity Clinic and the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) Ambassador Program. Dr. Brumfield previously worked as an Enterprise Database Administrator & Applications Administrator, enhancing system security and optimizing processes. Dr. Brumfield aims to apply his expertise in risk analysis and security solutions to support the mission of government agencies and mission-driven organizations.
He is a member of the NobleReach Scholars 2025 Cohort in the Computing and Cybersecurity domain and serves as a Senior Program Manager for the City of Oklahoma City.
